One of the biggest perks of a GMRS radio like the 5 Watt Radio is its ability to connect to repeaters. There may be times when terrain obstructions impact the range and clarity of your transmissions, and where available, repeaters can greatly improve your range. 

You can check for publicly available repeaters using mygmrs.com. You'll need your GMRS license to gain access to the specific repeater information, and from there, the video below will walk you through a step-by-step process for tuning your radio to the repeater.
